We spent a few unforgettable days on the Icelandic Highland in August 2007. Across vast lava fields and over river crossings in our Land Rover Defender. We both fell in love with our rental car. A Land Rover Defender that more or less would become our home for the next few days. It cheerfully got us over vast lava fields, sand deserts and water crossings.

We have spent a sunny, warm and very lovely week in the gorgeous town of Lech in the Austrian Alps. A bit of morning fog in the Lech Valley. Skiing is sooooo much fun right now. Long lunch in the sun. Self portrait - a day of really warm skiing. Where to go next? Healthy Central Europe Alp food. Watching the world ski by. Not in a hurry to hit the slopes. Perhaps one more espresso? Lech is very pretty. After-ski is a very civilized affair in Lech.
